Camper or Caravan?

If there is one travel related discussion that many people have very fixed ideas on, it is whether a campervan or a caravan is the most practical and there are equally valid arguments in both side's favour.

Sprite caravans and other caravans are said by many to be far more practical than a campervan as they can be towed to your holiday park of choice and then just unhooked and left there. This means that you have your car free for sightseeing and you do not have the problem faced by motor home owners of finding somewhere to park in city centres or crowded beach areas for a huge vehicle.

Owners of motor homes would argue that caravans are more unwieldy as they can be difficult to tow if you are not experienced and it is more difficult to travel from place to place for short periods.

Whichever you prefer, all agree that life on the road can be one of the most exhilarating and flexible types of holiday as you can travel where you want and when you want, stopping when you feel like it and taking off when you have had enough of any one place.

If you are undecided between the two types, why not borrow or hire one for a couple of weeks and try them out to see whether you are cut out for the world of caravans or campervans?
